The situation
This is the request derush.tv was born from: finding a precise thirty-second moment in more than twenty hours of VOD, to turn it into a short-form video. Several people had spent whole afternoons on it.
The moment left traces: a word in the chat, a spike of messages, a recognized sound, a marker someone placed. derush.tv gathers them on the timeline of each VOD, and search takes you there in seconds.
How it goes
- 1
A keyword, a date or a game
Search covers the notes, segments, markers and captured chat of your VODs. A word the chat wrote that night is often enough.
WithSearch - 2
The chat replays at the right spot
Chat replay follows playback. You read what viewers were saying at the exact moment, and you adjust the position to the second.

Chat spikes point to the excitement
When the chat goes wild, the curve rises. A spike is a place where something happened, even if nobody noted anything.

The analysis confirms with a score
The automatic review has already gone through the VOD. The passage you are looking for is often there, with its score and its reasons: game audio, chat excitement, volume peak.

What you use
The features involved
Every feature has its own page and its availability status, read from the same place as in the app. Nothing here promises more than that page does.
What stays in your hands
- Search covers what derush.tv knows about the VOD: notes, segments, markers, captured chat. It does not search the speech of the whole VOD.
- The chat can only be found if it was captured: capture is off by default and is enabled channel by channel.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to have placed notes to find a moment?
No. Captured chat, its spikes and the automatic review leave traces without anyone taking notes. Notes and markers add landmarks, they are not required.
Can I search across several VODs at once?
Yes. Search goes through the channel's VODs and takes you back to the moment, on the timeline of the right VOD.
Do viewer markers count?
Those placed from the chat with the command do, as soon as capture is on. Markers sent from the Twitch extension will arrive once the extension is approved by Twitch.
What if the VOD has expired on Twitch?
The markers stay on derush.tv, but they point to a video that no longer exists. The moment can be found, it can no longer be watched. Hence reviewing before expiry.
