Vertical clips for TikTok, Shorts and Reels

A Twitch clip takes a single passage of 60 seconds, in one block. A short-form video needs a vertical reframe, subtitles and sometimes several passages. Here is the path from the segment to the video.

The situation

The vertical format is not just a crop: the camera and the gameplay have to fit on the screen, the text has to be readable without sound, and sometimes several passages have to be assembled.

The derush.tv Studio starts from a passage of your VOD. You choose what stays on screen, you place the subtitles and the texts, you assemble several passages if needed, and the render comes out as a video.

How it goes

  1. 1

    A segment delimits the passage

On the timeline, a segment carries a start and an end. That is what you open in the editor, without searching through the whole VOD.

  2. 2

    The Studio opens in vertical

The project is created in 9:16 or 16:9. You keep several passages of the same VOD in a single edit.

  3. 3

You reframe the camera and the gameplay

The 16:9 source becomes vertical while keeping the camera, the gameplay and what matters on screen, each in its place. Framing presets can be reapplied from one clip to the next.

    Subtitles and texts go in

Subtitles come from a transcription that runs on our servers, in a container with no Internet access. Each subtitle can be corrected, several themes are available.

The render comes out as a video

You launch the render and download the video, ready to upload wherever you want.

What you use

The features involved

Every feature has its own page and its availability status, read from the same place as in the app. Nothing here promises more than that page does.

What stays in your hands

  • Uploading to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram happens on your side: the Studio delivers a video, it does not publish.
  • Rendering takes the time it takes: the Studio does not show the final video in real time while you edit.
  • Automatic transcription needs an intelligible voice: on a passage with no speech or a lot of noise, you correct or write the subtitles by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put several passages in a single clip?

Yes. The Studio assembles several selections of the same VOD into one edit, with your texts, images and sounds.

Does the horizontal format exist too?

Yes. A project is created in vertical 9:16 or horizontal 16:9, and the render follows the project's format.

Where do the subtitles come from?

From an automatic transcription run on our servers, with nothing sent to an outside AI provider. You proofread and correct every line before rendering.

What happens to the clip once rendered?

You download it. What you do with it next is up to you: derush.tv does not publish on your behalf.
